From the gym to the rock (the cliff)
Prerequisites: Have the basic knowledge of indoor or crag climbing, be comfortable leading in 5a, indoor or crag, be able to complete a 500 meter climb in less than 2 hours.
Course objective: To acquire the basic knowledge and skills necessary to climb long sport routes, to be able to complete a rock climb on a level III to V+ route
Content Theory: Knowledge of knots, equipment and belay techniques, planning a mountain trip, particularities of alpine climbing, use of a guidebook, dangers in the mountains, environmental aspects.
Practical content: Installation of the belay, basic knowledge of knots and belay techniques, lead and second climbing, different rock climbing techniques, abseiling, autonomy in equipped sport routes.

Previsional program:
DAY 1 (half day)
Welcome of the participants and briefing of the guide trainer
Big "school" routes, at the foot of the Roc des Boeufs (Entrevernes - Bauges).
Checking of the prerequisites. Learning of the specific techniques of the big routes.
Choice and preparation of the next day's outing.
DAY 2
Application of the previous day's learning.
Ascent of a big route, adapted to your level, in the Bornes, Bauges or Aravis mountains.
DAY 3
Synthesis of the previous days.
Ascent of a big route, adapted to your level, in the Bauges massif (Roc des Boeufs; Banc plats) or Aravis (Col de la Colombière; Jallouvre; la Rosière).
Debriefing and choice of future objectives.
