Exploring the Prérouge Cave is the perfect way to get started in caving – it’s a wonderful underground adventure! You’ll find labyrinthine passages, both large and small, along with stalactites and stalagmites and eroded formations that tell the story of thousands of years of geological history. Although it is suitable for beginners, the route taken to explore the cave is still a serious undertaking, with obstacles such as the ‘stinking baths’ and the ‘Marmites’ passage that will leave a lasting impression!
The route is mainly horizontal, but rope-assisted sections may be required depending on the route taken. There is climbing and abseiling; the journey is fun and sometimes involves water
Weather conditions must be stable for this exploration; the Prérouge Cave is accessible almost all year round provided the water level is not too high.
