Security training

formation neige avalanche

The security trainings of the office of the guides have become practitioners who want to become autonomous in mountain or high mountain. We have now been on mountaineering to develop your skills in glacier racing. In winter our training courses are validated on safety and avalanches for the practice of freeride and ski touring. We test the suspensions of these formations.

Be prepared for mountain safety.

A good skier or climber knows what to do in case of a problem or an accident and knows how to identify the dangers of the mountain, our trainings teach you first aid on glacier (to get someone out of a crevasse or to rescue a person victim of a avalanche); but we also focus on the preparation of the outing, the method of risk reduction during the outing and the techniques to use to progress in mountain terrain.
These courses are provided by high mountain guides who are used to pass on their know-how and knowledge, they will make available their experiences, during these days rich in sharing and exchange.

Training place

We prefer mainly Haute-Savoie with Massif des Bornes, Bauges and Aravis which are real small paradises for ski touring & freeride but also for the practice of limestone rock races "lime stone paradise"! Tapered ridges that are feasible by the day to gradually learn the installation of wedges, through the beautiful snowy slopes of the Aravis range we have an infinite playground to prepare for the biggest races nearby in the Mont massif -White.

Trainning and winter days

In the winter, the mountains get lighter and everyone wants to enjoy powder and fresh snow during beautiful mountain ski sessions, but we must not forget that winter mountains are risky and that we need Nivological and meteorological knowledge to apprehend the greatest danger: avalanches.

Our winter days will allow you to acquire this useful and fundamental knowledge to know this danger, but also to familiarize you with the use of avalanche rescue equipment: DVA, Excavator and Probe.
Only avalanche rescue training will allow you to have the right actions and adopt a responsible attitude during an avalanche burial situation.

The internships will allow you to deepen your basic knowledge on snow and avalanche risks, but also to have tools and procedures for risk management: study of the snowpack, study of the latest research on avalanche by anena and other important actors.
Emphasis will be on group leadership and human factors, and especially towards progression in full autonomy. We will also give an important part of the training to the care of an avalanche victim and to the use of safety equipment.
The courses are designed for mountaineers or skiers with off-piste skiing or ski touring, who wish to have decision-making tools to move towards autonomy.

Training  and summer days.

These courses allow you to learn or improve in the preparation and realization of mountaineering races in rock and snow.
We are very concerned with roping progress, the installation of jamming protectors, pins and other relay anchors.
Different days with themes are possible: progression in course of edges, progression in high way ground of adventure but also relief in crevasses.
In general, we prefer alpine massifs of medium altitude to take the time to see all the techniques of progression in rock without the need to keep a schedule because of the evolution of freezing and thawing conditions.
Escalation courses in crevasses or glacier progression are done on Chamonix.
