SNOWSHOEING APERITIF AT SUNSET : ANNECY

Rendez-vous 2 hours before sunset at the top of Semnoz. We will go off-piste on snowshoes through the mountain pastures and the spruce forest to share an extraordinary aperitif. The sun declines and tints the atmosphere with a pinkish colour. It is time to take a "aperitif" break and share good Savoyard products while enjoying the show. Once night falls, the return will be by the light of our head-light.

The aperitif at the top

Highlights of the excursion

- A new experience of snowshoeing at sunset.

Loop on the Semnoz mountain pastures - 2h walking

Departure time: 2 hours before sunset

We then go for a snowshoe hike off the trails between the forest and the Semnoz mountain pastures. During the walk, we will enjoy a 360° panoramic view to observe the sunset over the Alps while enjoying a Savoyard aperitif. The return will be made in the light of our head-light.

Return about an hour after sunset.

Road access: By car only to the top of Semnoz (30 min from Annecy)

Good to know about the adventure
SNOWSHOEING APERITIF AT SUNSET : ANNECY

The price includes

Supervision by a qualified mountain guide.
The loan of snowshoes, poles, a headlamp for the night walk.
The aperitif consists of a drink of your choice (mulled wine, hot chocolate, tea/infusion), a tasting of local cheese, sausage and bread.

The price does not include

Transportation to the starting point of the hike.
Anything not indicated in the "price includes" section.

Schedule and meeting place

Meet in front of the restaurant le courant d'ère at the top of the Semnoz, 2 hours before sunset. Return about one hour after sunset.

Approximate times:
In December: 15h - 18h
In January: 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm
In February: 4pm - 7pm
In March: 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Participant’s personal equipment

Warm, high and waterproof hiking or snow shoes (no Moon Boot or low-top sneakers!!!) suitable for snowshoeing, warm, breathable clothing adapted to the weather (fleece, down jacket, windproof and waterproof jacket, gloves or mittens, hat), backpack for picnics or snacks, water (1L for half days to 2L for full days), sunscreen, cap, sunglasses (mask in strong wind)

For safety reasons, people who do not have the right equipment on the day of the outing may be refused by the mountain leader and the outing will not be refunded

Group

COLLECTIVE OUTING: Confirmed outings only from 5 people booked / niche. Groups can be formed up to a maximum of 10 participants / 1 mountain leader.
