Sample programme for beginner-intermediate skiers (up to expert level possible)
Day 1: Meet at 9:00 am at the Refuge Refuge D'ze La Voye - Welcome by your guide. Training on avalanche safety and the use of emergency equipment. Departure for a gentle acclimatisation hike, +/-700m elevation gain.
Day 2: Departure for one of the most beautiful hikes in the area: La Mandallaz, south-west slope, with an altitude of 2,277 metres and an elevation gain of 1,170 metres. This superb summit is very skiable and offers many variations for descents on the snow-covered slopes. If you still have energy, you can continue the climb to the Tête de l'Aulp for an even longer descent.
Day 3: Last day on the southern tip of the Etale (alt. 2,400m) via the Alpage de Tardevant, a truly wild and unspoilt valley with an elevation gain of 1,340m. What better way to end this break in the Aravis than with one of the most beautiful descents in the massif?
And for a complete break from the outside world in these wide open snowy spaces, you will stay at the Refuge De la Voye. Located in the Manigod mountains, this former alpine farm is the ideal place to start your ski touring days. And because effort goes hand in hand with comfort, the refuge is of course equipped with a swimming pool and sauna to recharge your batteries after a day of sport!
Prices are given as a guide only and are subject to change depending on high/low season and availability at the time of booking.
Level required for this outing: Level 2 - INTERMEDIATE.
