The "Morue Tour"

The "Morue Tour"

With their experience of steep skiing in the Nordic region, but especially with their ability to organise barbecues in hostile environments, based on salmon and grilled cod on the edge of the Norwegian fjords, we have created an offbeat concept, the "Cod Tour". The objective is to ski some great lines if the conditions allow it, tell too many bad jokes and have a good laugh, but this does not prevent professionalism from being present in the middle of this ski trip which will leave you with an indelible memory by its authenticity and originality.

What is the Cod Tour?

The Cod Tour is a different concept of ski trip, it is on the way between the expedition and the organised trip with accommodation in local people's homes. It is above all a sporty trip for ski and adventure enthusiasts. Adaptation and flexibility are our key words.

What does this have to do with cod?

This is above all a sporting trip for ski and adventure enthusiasts, adaptation and flexibility are our watchwords.

What level do I need to be to ski the couloirs?

In general, the couloirs are at 40°/45° maximum, a good level of skiing is required, but above all a good mood and a sense of humour, if you are not very good at climbing, it is less important, as the differences in altitude are on average between 800 and 1,000 m.

Do you have to know how to fish?

If you don't know how to fish, we'll teach you or we'll make you gut the cod and cook!

Should I bring alcohol?

Yes, it is strongly advised, alcohol is very expensive in Norway, we will inform you about the procedure to follow to bring some bottles to taste.

Why are there 2 professionals to supervise?

It is a question of safety and comfort for the customer experience, couloir skiing is a separate activity that requires a high level of supervision, we have already tried and tested many supervision methods that have led us to this principle.

What size of group?

In general, we work on the basis of one guide for every two participants, so there will be six of us in total. Depending on your level, we can expand the group to 6 - 7 + 2 guides, but it is mainly the level that will determine how many participants will be able to ski with one guide.
