1st day: Ice school and ascent to the refuge des Ecrins (3175m) - 1300m (4 - 5h)
After checking the equipment, we will leave for the Glacier Blanc refuge, 1st stage of the ascent.
We will take advantage of the glacial environment to learn or refine glacier techniques (ice school), then we will resume the progression, mainly glacial, towards the Ecrins refuge (3175m).
2nd day: Ascension of the Roche Faurio - 800m - 3-4h
The access route to La Roche Faurio is mainly snowy, with slopes of 35°, and some rocky or mixed passages (rock/snow). Count 3h until the summit. The descent is made by the same route (2h until the refuge). We will spend a second night at the refuge des Ecrins (3175m) to prepare the ascent of the Dome the next day.
3rd day: Ascension of the Dôme des Ecrins - 900m - 4-5h
Very early, we will start crossing the White Glacier to reach the foot of the Dome. The itinerary walks on a crevasse glacier, bathed by the first golden rays of the sun. 4 to 5h are necessary to reach the top of the Dome (4015m). The descent is made by the same route, to the refuge des Ecrins. Plan a little more energy for the return to the valley.
