La Sambuy is a jewel, this small summit of the Massif des Bauges offers a "bluffing" point of view on the Lake Annecy and the Massif du Mont-Blanc, the panorama, the atmosphere and the small family resort side make the charm of this incredible site which is also a small paradise for the ski tourers who can use the chairlift as a launching pad towards the interior of the Massif des Bauges.
Indeed, it is from the top of the small Sambuy that a passage allows access to a "little paradise" leading to the Pointe de Chaurionde, the Col d'Orgeval or to the Bellevaux valley.
On the other side, at sunrise, the whole side of the "Pas de l'ours" is open to us for small initiations to ski touring in a very welcoming coomb. Intermediate skiers will find their happiness there by evolving on reasonable differences in altitude between fir trees and small clearings!
Finally, the night in a refuge allows you to really appreciate the calm of the mountain once the ski resort is closed, but also to find a bit of comfort after a cold day of off-piste skiing.
If the sky is clear, we will appreciate the view of the sky from this private viewpoint for the night.
In the morning, we will be the first to put on our skis before the resort opens to enjoy the calm of the place, and why not for the bravest of us, a sunrise at the top of the Pointe de La Sambuy before descending the mythical "banc de la linguale", one of the most beautiful ski descents in the northern pre-Alps.
