The plateau des glières is a beautiful and wild place perched at about 1500m in the massif des Bornes. The area is divided between mountain pastures and spruce forests. It is also a mecca of French resistance. During the Second World War, many resistance fighters went underground and took refuge in this natural "fortress".

Between forest, mountain pastures and magnificent panoramas, the Glières plateau is a high place of French resistance where many maquisards took refuge during the Second World War.

We will start our hike in front of the national monument to the French resistance.

After a short loop on the plateau, we will climb up to enjoy the viewpoint over the Aravis and the Mont-Blanc massif.

The hike will be punctuated with stops to talk about the specific history of the French resistance and the life of the maquisards of the Glières plateau.

Good to know about the adventure
Theme hike: On the trail of the maquisards of the plateau des Glières

The price include
Supervision by a certified hiking guide.
Group of 12 people maximum per supervisor for an optimal security and user-friendliness.
These are per participant rates which are only valid for a group consisting of 5 people minimum.
The price does not include
Transportation until the start of the hike, picnic, drinks, any lifts.
Anything that is not listed in the "price includes" section.
Participant’s personal equipment
High hiking boots, warm and weather-resistant clothing (down jacket, windproof and waterproof jacket), backpack for picnics or snacks, water, sunscreen, cap ...

For safety reasons, people who do not have the right equipment on the day of the trip may be refused by the mountain guide.
Group
COLLECTIVE OUTING : Confirmed outings only from 5 people booked / time slot. Groups can be formed up to 10 to 12 participants maximum / 1 mountain leader.
