Mini Trek - On the wild plateau of Parmelan

We propose you a two-day trek in a wild and preserved atmosphere on the Parmelan plateau. On the first day we'll go to the ascent of the Head of Parmelan. We will spend part of the day on the lapiaz, typical limestone formations of the plateau, which will plunge us into a very special lunar atmosphere. We will spend the night, perched at the top of the mountain with a 360° view. The next day we'll go down towards the Glières plateau. The terrain will become gentler and gentler as you approach the large peat bogs.

Day 1: The Head of Parmelan by the Pertuis valley

D+1350m D-350m Dist 9,5km 5h30 walking

The first day of the hike will start in the Fillière valley. We will take the direction of the Parmelan plateau from the Grotte de la Diau then through the wild Pertuis valley before reaching the lunar karstic plateau of Parmelan.

Night in a refuge (Dormitory). Attention no shower and no water in the refuge.

Day 2: Return through the valley of Ablon

D+340m D-1340m Dist 11,5km 5h30 walking

Departure after breakfast in front of the Mont-Blanc. We will walk along the Parmelan ridges to reach the mountain pastures of the Ablon valley and then we will reach the start of our trek.

Supervision by a state-qualified mountain leader.
