The main town is Tromsø, where there is an airport and a port, the departure point for all excursions. These majestic mountains offer breathtaking scenery, with snow-capped peaks, impressive fjords, towering glaciers and crystal-clear lakes. The Lyngen Alps are a paradise for ski tourers and nature lovers. The ski touring routes offer spectacular views of the Norwegian fjords and surrounding mountains.
