Canyon Angon Discover

The small Angon canyon is perfect for those wishing to learn canyoning or simply to experience a vertical and aquatic adventure with the family! A refreshing activity in the middle of nature, in a magnificent fresh water course. Supervised by your guide, set off to discover this fun activity from the village of Talloires-Montmin, located a few kilometers from Annecy (about 30 minutes by car). And as the canyon is just a couple of minutes from Lake Annecy, you can finish your adventure along the water's edge with a picnic! On the program : slides, swimming in pools, jumps and small abseils up to 15 meters high, will allow you to discover the joys of white water in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. In order to enjoy the crystal clear water, we recommend either a morning departure or an early afternoon departure.

This introductory course is designed for beginners (the advanced course is available here) who wish to try canyoning for the first time in complete safety. After getting kitted out and a short approach walk along a hiking trail starting from the hamlet of Angon, the canyon begins with the ‘letterbox’ passage: a sort of limestone boulder wedged above a waterfall, a great fun way to start the descent down the stream! We then continue through the gorges, tackling a series of slides, jumps and varied abseils amidst the waterfalls that will take us to the end of the stream.

It really is a beautiful route, alternating between walking in shallow water and descending waterfalls, amidst a lush forest. Nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike will be in their element!
There’s plenty of instruction too, as your guide will explain before each activity the best way to tackle the obstacle, whether it’s a jump, a slide or an abseil whilst comfortably secured in your harness.

There are no difficult sections such as siphons or stretches of white-water swimming, making this a gentle introduction for those with less experience! For a truly memorable day combining lake and mountain activities, we recommend combining your trip with another activity such as rock climbing, a via ferrata or even paragliding in the Aravis!

Our qualified canyoning guides and instructors are all state-certified. They have all the necessary equipment for rescue operations and organising the canyon descent. They will be on hand to advise you and help you discover the activity in a friendly atmosphere, in small groups of 10 people.
