A canyon dedicated to sportsmen and jumpers!
Located in a narrow gorge in the Bauges regional nature park, the Pont du Diable canyon is about 40 minutes from Annecy. This canyon is spectacular as it borrows a geological feature of our mountains, it is as if you were inside a 2 to 3 m wide gut in places! The atmosphere is quite severe but it is really the most beautiful canyon in the region because of its originality and the variety of its obstacles: abseiling under waterfalls, jumps, slides and swimming between large cliffs. The river that runs through it is very clean and the water is crystal clear and cool even in summer.
The Pont du Diable is also a very fun canyon. Even if no jump is obligatory, you can try to jump from 12 meters high into deep pools of water. But be careful, this game is only for experienced players, no mistakes are allowed here! The canyon has a water trail in its upper part that can be walked with children, but the classic route is much more technical and interesting. It takes place in a protected natural environment in the middle of a natural park, and you should respect the fauna and flora of the river.
The canyoning guides and instructors are all state-certified and have all the necessary equipment for rescue and for organising the canyoning descent. They will be there to advise you and help you discover the activity in a gentle and friendly atmosphere in a small group.
