Montmin Canyoning

The start of the canyon is via a steep path equipped with a handrail, once this short passage has been crossed, we set foot in the bed of the river, gorges overhung by steep rock walls. We start with slides, jumps and small abseils allowing us to swim in the whitewater of pools of pure water in the middle of a lush alpine forest, we are in a specific and sensitive natural environment, with the greatest respect for the fauna and flora is required.
The setting is truly magnificent with many geological peculiarities: Karst, concretion, resurgences of tuff, faults, and caves.
The first part of this canyon descent allows a gentle warm-up to familiarize yourself with whitewater, we pass through caves, siphons and waterfalls, a good way to experience the sensations.
The second part becomes much more sporty and interesting for adrenaline and thrill-seekers, with jumps between 2 and 7 meters in height for the more daring.
Many guided abseils, very playful jumps and slides allow us to go from basin to cooking pot while fully enjoying the joys of whitewater swimming in this canyon.
For the return, it is about 15 minutes of ascent on a hiking trail that will allow us to reach the parking lot.
The qualified canyoning guides and instructors are all state certified, they have all the necessary equipment for rescue and organization of the canyon descent, they will be there to advise you and make you discover the activity smoothly and in the good atmosphere in a small group, you will have a good time in complete safety.
Do not hesitate to do this canyon after a beautiful morning of climbingvia ferrata or paragliding on one of the many nearby sites.

For your safety
Canyoning is a mountain activity that involves inherent risks.
The safety of the group depends on the strict observance of the guide's instructions throughout the outing.
Major jumps are never compulsory, and alternative routes are provided whenever possible. However, canyoning remains a water-based outdoor activity that requires a minimum level of confidence and ability in an aquatic environment. Participants must be able to swim, move safely over uneven and sometimes slippery terrain, negotiate moderate obstacles, perform short down-climbs, use natural water slides, and be capable of making simple jumps into deep water of up to approximately 2 to 3 metres when required by the canyon.
Each participant is free to decline a jump if they do not feel comfortable doing it.
Jumps exceeding 3 metres in height require increased caution. They are intended for participants who are comfortable with this type of challenge, able to assess their own abilities, and fully aware of the potential risks involved (injury, poor landing, stress, or apprehension). Such jumps must only be performed under the guide's direction and according to their instructions.
Please inform your guide before the activity of any medical condition, recent injury, fear of heights, apprehension regarding jumps, or any other issue that may affect your participation. This will allow the guide to adapt the outing and provide appropriate support.
Compliance with the guide's safety instructions and decisions is mandatory throughout the entire activity.
