Do you like to walk, but not too much? But you love powder snow and wide open spaces far from the ski lifts? Then this FREERANDO day is for you!
For this day alternating ski touring and off-piste skiing, our high mountain guides will take you to the heart of the Aravis massif, more precisely to La Clusaz: the white paradise of freeriders!
We start the day at the Col de Balme and head for the Trou de la Mouche, whose summit reaches an altitude of 2453 meters. We start by descending a part of the valley of BellaChat, which is a mythical off-piste itinerary here in La Clusaz and where the snow stays cold all winter long! After this beautiful descent, we go back up to the top of Tête de Pelouse, by a small hike of about 300 m of height difference. From the summit, the panorama on the Mont Blanc massif is breathtaking... After taking in the view, it's time to take off and slide again! We go back down about 400 meters in the magnificent Grand-Crêt valley. We put on the seals skins again to reach the Trou de la Mouche, the highlight of our journey in the mountains of the Reblochon Fermier cheese! All that remains is to choose between a descent - either in the sun or in the shade - in the famous Paccaly valley, which takes us back 1200m below to the village of Les Confins!
This run is a perfect sequence for all the contemplative powder lovers, the experienced split-boarders, or the off-piste skiers who wish to discover new horizons in the Mecca of Freeride!
