Your guide will meet you on the snow front in La Clusaz in front of the Beauregard gondola (near the esf kindergarten); for an introduction to ski touring, the gateway to mountain skiing, or to become an experienced skier.
This first to ski touring will allow you to familiarize yourself with the equipment and material (ski touring, ski boots with vibram soles, seal skins, telescopic ski poles and safety equipment: avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe) , but it will also allow you to discover a new approach to mountain skiing, far from the ski lifts and areas designed for alpine skiers. On the way up, we will evolve between pine forests, chalets and sheltered valleys in order to benefit from fresh and powdery snow if the weather permits. On the descent, depending on your level, it will be possible to ski off-piste or on marked pistes (from the green piste to the black piste), which is a real advantage when you are a little tired. after a ski-in / ski-out climb, even if the height difference remains modest.
Throughout the route, your guide, a fine connoisseur and expert of the Aravis, will be there to give you a lesson or advice on the practice of ski conversions and how to evolve in ski touring.
At the top, you will enjoy a magnificent panorama of the peaks surrounding the family ski resort of La Clusaz: Mont Lachat, L'Etale, La Porte des Aravis or even La Pointe Percée, we will take the time to take out the water bottle. or tea from the backpack like a real mountaineer.
For those who want to go further, it will be necessary to consider a wild ski touring outing, outside the ski area, either in initiation or in improvement and to learn about avalanche safety.
The resort village of La Clusaz remains an ideal base camp for ski touring in the heart of the Aravis
