Climbing is an ideal sport for young people, as it allows them to approach verticality gently. Climbing offers fundamental benefits: pushing personal limits, building self-confidence and trust in others, improving motor coordination, agility, and the ability to overcome obstacles.
That’s why we offer a climbing program for children aged 8 to 12, in spring and autumn. Group lessons are held outdoors with a maximum of 8 children per group. These wide-open spaces provide a fantastic adventure playground to discover this activity.
Perfectly suited for juniors, this climbing cycle takes place in half-day sessions every Wednesday afternoon, at various climbing sites around Lake Annecy dedicated to safe learning!
During these five half-days, children will learn the basics of climbing: putting on a harness, tying-in knots, belaying, and safety rules, as well as different climbing progression techniques. Under the supervision of a climbing instructor, various fun and educational games are offered to help children progress and challenge themselves.
Young climbers will quickly feel comfortable on the holds and will try new, progressively harder routes, eventually moving from top-rope climbing to lead climbing.
Many workshops will also be offered, such as rappelling and zip-lining.
In summary: 5 half-day outdoor sessions dedicated to climbing practice in a natural environment, supervised by a professional, and held in a friendly atmosphere!
In case of bad weather, sessions can be moved indoors to ensure continuity.
